CORONAVIRUS IMPORTANT INFORMATION

COVID-19 Vaccinations

The NHS is rolling out COVID-19 vaccinations across Sussex. Patients are being invited to an appointment in order of national guidance, starting with those over 80. You do not need to call the Surgery - you will be contacted as soon as the NHS is able to offer you the vaccination. For further information please visit: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/coronavirus-vaccine/. Thank you for your support, Downlands Medical Centre.

From Monday 16th March 2020 we will no longer be booking appointments in the surgery at the reception desk. All online appointments have now been suspended.

All appointments will be telephone triaged and no face to face consultations will be booked with a gp prior to a telephone consultation. If you require a nurse or hca appointment the telephonist will ask you relevant questions to determine whether your attendance at the surgery is safe for both you and our staff.

Repeat prescription requests need to be put through the letter box unless you already use the online repeat prescription service. All prescriptions will now have to be sent to a local pharmacy. For those patients who collect their prescriptions from the surgery, can you please nominate a chosen pharmacy on your request for the future.

All general enquiries should be dealt with via the telephone, however, if non-urgent please delay until after the current pandemic.

Please be aware of breaching public health englands advice, hiding symptoms or travel history and being non-compliant with quarantine/isolation. You could be fined.
